Dr. Hakan Karalok is a physician and researcher who has worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Yale University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University, and since then has built a career combining clinical medicine, research, and community service. Beyond his medical and academic achievements, Karalök is active in Turkish-American community organizations. Notably, he serves as Vice President and Secretary-General of Turkish American Academic Council (TAAC), a body aiming to foster academic exchange and support for Turkish and Turkish-American students and scholars. In the past, he also held roles within the Federation of Turkish American Associations (FTAA). Dr. Karalok’s work — both in medicine/research and in diaspora community leadership — reflects a commitment to bridging his Turkish roots with global academic and professional networks.
