Suleyman Ecevit Sanlı was born in 1973 in Tarsus, Mersin. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Anadolu University and a Master’s degree in Financial Law from Marmara University. His career began in 1990 at the Ministry of Finance and Customs, where he served for 20 years in key customs directorates across Türkiye, including Istanbul and Mersin. During the last seven years of his public service, he was elected twice as Chairman of the Customs Examination Officers Association. In 2011, Şanlı transitioned to the private sector as a general manager before establishing Narin Customs Consultancy and Elsan Global Logistics Group in 2013. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of both companies, which operate in customs consultancy and international logistics services. Şanlı has also been deeply engaged in business and professional associations. He served as President of TÜMBİAD and as Vice President of TABA-AmCham for two terms. He was later elected President of TABA-AmCham to promote stronger Turkish-American trade and economic relations, a role he continues to hold today. Şanlı is active in multiple organizations, contributes articles to major media outlets, and frequently appears on economic and business television programs. He is currently continuing his studies at Istanbul University, speaks English, and is married with three daughters.
